Delivery Times and Shipping Speeds

Order Processing

After checkout, your order will go through order processing which includes working with our warehouses to confirm furniture availability and carrier pickup arrangements. This generally takes 1-3 business days from order placement. All customers will receive an order confirmation email with estimated delivery dates including this processing time. Rush order processing may be available for an additional fee.

Standard Shipping

Our standard ground shipping delivers most items within 2-5 business days after the item leaves our warehouse. Most upholstered items and large furniture may take an additional day or two due to size and shipment consolidation.

2-Day and Overnight Shipping

For an additional fee, 2-day or next day shipping is available on most items to significantly decrease delivery times. Some oversized items may still require standard 3-5 day ground transit times even when 2-day/overnight shipping is selected. Contact us if you have questions about expedited shipping for your specific items.

Note on Backorders and Out of Stock Items

If ordered items go on backorder or are out of stock, your delivery time may be delayed 1-3 weeks from the original estimate. You will be notified if items are backordered, and delivery dates will be updated. Backordered items can be cancelled upon request.

White Glove Delivery

All Valyou Furniture orders come with complimentary White Glove delivery service. This means our professional delivery teams will bring your purchase directly into your home and assemble each piece. White glove delivery may add 1-5 days to standard transit times. More details in the In-Home Delivery section.

Delivery Areas

Valyou Furniture offers shipping throughout the continental United States only. We do not currently ship furniture to Hawaii, Alaska, or internationally.

Some rural zip codes may have limited delivery options, longer transit times, or additional fees. If you order for delivery to a rural area, we encourage you to contact us first to confirm if delivery is possible and discuss options.

Choosing carriers is determined by delivery destination, warehouse inventory location, and any special delivery requirements.

Preparing for Delivery

To ensure smooth furniture deliveries, we kindly request that customers prepare the delivery location(s) by:

Measure your hallways, doorways, stairways, and elevators to confirm new furniture will fit prior to delivery day. Our customer support team is happy to discuss clearance requirements for your items.

If your home requires significant preparation for a large furniture delivery, specialty movers can be hired to assist with ensuring clear access paths. Additional charges would apply for extra labor/waiting time if special movers have not been arranged in advance for homes with difficult access.

Inspecting and Accepting Deliveries

A careful inspection of your items at delivery is an important part of the process. Our delivery teams are trained to allow time for you to fully inspect the delivery before needing final acceptance signatures. Please open boxes and thoroughly check over purchases before signing the delivery receipt.

We understand some blemishes may not be immediately evident underneath packaging. Feel free to specify “subject to further inspection” on paperwork if you need extra time to fully review the condition of your delivery. Delivery personnel can wait or schedule a second appointment if more unpacking time is needed prior to acceptance.

Document any damages or defects at the time of delivery – take photos if helpful. Details should be noted on paperwork and reported to our customer service team within 48 hours.

If no external damage or deficiencies are apparent upon initial inspection: carefully unpack items once delivery personnel leave, inspect for flaws underneath packaging, reassemble, and confirm everything is in desired condition before providing final acceptance when delivery teams call to follow up. Please reach out to us right away if issues are identified during the full inspection process after scheduled deliveries leave.

Processing Returns and Replacements

Despite best efforts, furniture flaws or shipping damage still occurs occasionally. Valyou Furniture aims for an easy, no hassle process if purchases arrive defective, get damaged during transit, or have quality issues. To start returns/exchanges:

2. Troubleshooting – Our support team will evaluate details and photos of reported issues. We may ask clarifying questions or make repair/touch up suggestions if possible depending on the specifics of damage. Process Returns/Replacements – After collaborative troubleshooting, a plan will be discussed and executed whether that involves repair advice, replacement parts, return authorizations and reshipping, or sending replacement items and collecting returns. The fastest options with the least inconvenience for you will always be our priority.

Old Furniture Removal

If you are looking to remove old furniture pieces to make room for new deliveries, haul-away services can be added for an hourly rate. Please make removal requests at least 3 days before scheduled delivery to allow coordination for disposal or donation trucks.
